His approach of focusing on the absolute basics including understanding music theory (which may as well have been Greek at the beginning for a newbie like me) really helped me in understanding how the fret board and all the notes work together.
In just 2.5 months, I am able to play all major and minor scales as well as a few songs with fingerpicking and chords as well.
