About Elise
With over 4 years of teaching experience and a BFA in Digital Guitar Performance, I provide lessons tailored to every student. I focus on slide guitar, open tunings, and fingerpicking blues techniques. My teaching style is patient, motivating, and designed to help students progress confidently. I cover multiple regional blues styles, including Delta, Chicago, and Piedmont traditions. Lessons combine technique, musicality, and an understanding of the blues heritage. I enjoy helping students develop their own sound while mastering authentic blues phrasing. My sessions focus on tone, dynamics, and creative improvisation. I guide students from beginner fundamentals to advanced blues mastery. I emphasize listening, feel, and connecting emotionally with the music. Each lesson is structured but flexible to meet individual goals. Students gain skill, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of the blues. I love watching them discover their own musical voice. Together, we explore the history, nuance, and joy of playing the blues.
