About Kanika

I am a dedicated educator with 20 years of experience helping students learn, grow, and build confidence in their abilities. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Math Education from Florida A&M University and my Master of Education in Special Education from Georgia State University. Throughout my career, I have served as a math and special education teacher, department chair, assistant principal, and private math tutor.
Math has always been a passion of mine, but what I enjoy most is helping students realize that they can be successful in math. My extensive experience in special education has taught me how to break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s individual learning needs. I strive to create a patient, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing a deeper understanding of mathematics.

My goal as a tutor is to do more than help students complete assignments or prepare for a test. I want students to strengthen their foundational skills, improve their problem-solving abilities, build confidence, and develop strategies they can use independently. Every student learns differently, and I am committed to finding the approach that helps each student succeed.

With over 15 years of experience teaching math, I bring both expertise and a genuine love of mathematics to every tutoring session. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education and have experience working with students with special needs, which has strengthened my ability to break down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. I believe every student can succeed in math with the right support, patience, and approach. My goal is not only to help students improve their skills and grades, but also to build their confidence and help them develop a positive attitude toward math.
