About Laura
Hello! I’m Laura, a Master of English Literature graduate from Trent University. My passion for writing, research, storytelling, and teaching has shaped both my academic path and my everyday life. With experience as a research assistant, tutor, and student representative, I’ve learned how to support learners of all ages and levels. I believe English isn’t just about grammar or essays, it’s about discovering your voice, expressing your ideas clearly, and building confidence through communication. I bring patience, empathy, and creativity into every lesson. I understand the importance of meeting students where they are and helping them grow at their own pace. My sessions are supportive, engaging, and tailored to individual goals, whether you’re working on essay writing, reading comprehension, or critical thinking. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me reading, writing, or spending time outdoors with my husband, our two kids and our dog Olive.

As a Master of English Literature graduate from Trent University, I help students strengthen their confidence and skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis. Whether you’re working on an essay, preparing for exams, or developing stronger communication skills, I create lessons that are personalized, engaging, and focused on your goals.
