About Lila
I hold a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies and have been teaching for more than 4 years. My teaching passion is ear training for guitarists. I help students strengthen their listening skills through solo transcription. We also focus on identifying chord progressions and harmonic patterns by ear. Pitch recognition is trained through consistent, fun exercises. Ear training unlocks freedom to improvise, compose, and collaborate. My lessons are structured but also allow space for exploration. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and challenged. Each class mixes technical practice with creative application. Many of my students find that their confidence improves quickly. Ear training transforms how you connect to the guitar. I’m here to guide you towards that transformation with patience and expertise.

For me, guitar teaching is about turning theory into music. I focus on scales, modes, chord construction, and harmonic analysis. These concepts become much easier once applied on the fretboard. Lessons are interactive, showing how patterns lead to sound. I explain how progressions and melodies can be built step by step. Improvisation and composition are natural parts of this learning. Students discover how theory shapes both freedom and precision. I adapt lessons to support energetic performers and serious classical players alike. Each session mixes structure with space for creativity. I keep explanations clear and examples practical. Over time, students learn to trust their knowledge and ears. Confidence builds as skills turn into real music. My approach makes theory feel like an ally, not a challenge. Together, we’ll create a strong foundation for fluent playing.
