About Richard
Richard Adetokunbo Aina is an award winning British-Nigerian architect, researcher, writer, and craftsman. His work is driven by a deep interest in material heritage, associative traditional practice, mixed typologies and liminal space. This leads him to explore contemporary African aesthetic reinterpretations, which he calls "afrorevivalism".
He co-leads a History & Theory Studies diploma course at the Architectural Association, where he also serves as a tutor for the Foundation and Writing Centre. In addition to practising with an architecture studio in London, Richard is a research fellow at the ANO Institute of Arts and Knowledge.
