From the very first lesson, she took the time to understand my goals and would recommend the dialect that made the most sense for what I wanted to achieve — but she never pushed it on me. If I felt more comfortable sticking with a different dialect, she respected that completely and adjusted her teaching accordingly. That kind of flexibility made a huge difference in how confident I felt learning.
She uses tables throughout her lessons that make grammar and vocabulary so much easier to absorb and remember. Her homework is always reasonable, and if I ever let her know I was too busy for it, she never made me feel guilty — she'd simply adjust. As someone who isn't Arab and lives in the USA, learning Arabic already felt like a unique journey, but getting to meet my teacher halfway across the world, purely by coincidence, made it feel even more meaningful. It really spoke to how genuine and personal her teaching relationship is — this wasn't just a transactional lesson exchange, but a real connection.
