About India
Hello there! I'm an international human rights lawyer and writer. I received my law degree from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 2021. As a human rights lawyer, I have worked on incredible projects across the world, including in collaboration with the UN and Human Rights Watch. In my last position, I worked as a policy advisor on public health and human rights issues.
Before going to law school, I completed my Bachelor of Science in microbiology. I applied to law school after I realized that I would never have the dexterity or patience to be a scientist.

Hi, my name is India. I am human rights lawyer, writer, and recovering teenager. I offer tailored tutoring in writing, reading, critical thinking, argument synthesis, and public speaking for high school and university students. I help clients within and outside of classroom settings.
I work best with people who are passionate and curious. My methodology depends on the needs of each student. Maybe you just need one session to help think through a tough essay question, or maybe you'd like to read and discuss a book together to improve your critical analysis and public speaking. Let's collaborate on a lesson plan that works for you.
What sets me apart from other tutors is that I prioritize getting to know my clients on a deeper level so I can understand what motivates and excites them. It's really important to me that our time together is enjoyable for both of us. Tutoring doesn't have to be something you dread!
My methodology is based on 10+ years of tutoring and draws on law school pedagogy.
