About Sameen

I take a structured, exam-focused approach to tutoring, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. I recently completed my GCSEs, achieving Grade 9s in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Computer Science, Design & Technology, Spanish, English Literature and English Language. I am studying at a leading private school, Highgate School in North London

I really enjoy helping other students with subjects that I enjoy, and I’ve regularly helped friends and classmates with their revision throughout school. I’ve also helped students from around Year 7–9 with Maths and Science, explaining difficult topics and working through questions with them.

In my GCSEs, I achieved 98.3% in Mathematics, 89.2% in Extended Maths Certificate (L2), 95.6% in Biology, 94.4% in Chemistry and 93.9% in Physics. I understand how important exam technique, past-paper practice and knowing exactly what an exam board is looking for can be.

I begin by identifying areas the student finds difficult, then work through these systematically using explanations, exam questions and practice. I aim to make lessons clear and approachable while helping students become more confident and independent.

My GCSE Results:

Mathematics — Grade 9 (98.3%)
Extended Maths Certificate (L2) — Distinction* / A** (89.2%)
Biology — Grade 9 (95.6%)
Chemistry — Grade 9 (94.4%)
Physics — Grade 9 (93.9%)
Computer Science — Grade 9 (86.7%)
Geography — Grade 9 (86.9%)

About the lesson

Lessons are tailored to each student and can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on their age, needs and goals.

For GCSE students, I can focus on understanding difficult topics, improving exam technique, working through past-paper questions or preparing for upcoming tests. I use the student’s exam board specification to make sure we cover the content they actually need.

I particularly enjoy helping students who understand the basics but struggle to apply their knowledge in exam questions. I break difficult topics down into simple steps and then gradually build up to exam-style questions.

I can teach Mathematics and the Sciences from KS2 up to GCSE level, and I am familiar with the demands of GCSE exams from having recently completed them myself.

Sameen was an excellent tutor. He really inspired me to grow passion and determination for my subjects and even got me from a 5 in my bio mock to a 9 which was truly an impossible task. Sameen is charismatic and fun to work with and I couldn’t have done my GCSEs without him!

Sameen is the light of my life. He rose me from a low 2 to a low 9. He is my knight in shining armour and my saviour on earth. I was in a really dark place before I met him and he truly changed the trajectory of my life. I will never be more greatful to him and I will recommend him to my children and their children asw in the future. I cannot stress this enough, it is a necessity to employ this bright, determined and understanding young man. I praise him night and day. To my world, sameen
