About Selina
Hi, I'm a student with a strong passion for Maths and Chemistry and a genuine interest in helping others learn. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I understand both the challenges students face and the techniques needed to overcome them.
Throughout my time at school, I have benefited greatly from the support of teachers and tutors who helped me develop my understanding, confidence and study skills. Their guidance played an important role in my academic journey, and it inspired me to help other students in the same way. Over the years, I have grown in confidence, improved my problem-solving abilities and developed a deeper appreciation for learning.
I enjoy explaining concepts in different ways until they make sense and believe that every student is capable of making progress with the right support. I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Whether a student needs help understanding the fundamentals, tackling challenging topics, or improving their exam technique, I aim to provide clear explanations and personalised support to help them achieve their goals and build confidence in their abilities.

Maths & Chemistry Tutor (Up to GCSE Level)
I offer one-to-one Maths and Chemistry tutoring for students up to GCSE level. Sessions are tailored to each student's needs, whether they require support with understanding key concepts, building confidence, improving exam technique, or working through challenging questions.
My teaching approach focuses on clear, step-by-step explanations and ensuring students understand the reasoning behind methods rather than simply memorising answers. I can help with:
• Building strong foundations in core topics
• Working through exam-style questions
• Improving problem-solving skills
• Revision and exam preparation
• Identifying and addressing areas of weakness
• Developing effective study techniques
Sessions are typically 1 hour long and can be adapted to suit each student's learning style and goals. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
