About Dayul
I graduated high school as salutatorian and earned a 1560 SAT, including a perfect 800 in Math. I am now studying Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech, one of the top engineering schools in the country. Because I went through the SAT and high school experience very recently, I understand both the academic side of the test and the way students actually think under pressure.
I have tutoring experience with students across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, from volunteer teaching to one-on-one academic and SAT tutoring. Most recently, I helped a high school senior improve from a 1300 SAT to a 1550 in about two months.
I take tutoring seriously and prepare around each student’s individual weaknesses, goals, and pace. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to make sure they understand the reasoning well enough to solve similar problems confidently on their own.

I tailor every lesson to the student rather than using the same plan for everyone. I start by identifying exactly where a student is losing points or getting confused, then I break those concepts down in simple language before moving into targeted practice. For SAT tutoring, I focus on both content mastery and strategy: recognizing common question patterns, using efficient solving methods, avoiding traps, and improving pacing under time pressure.
What sets me apart is that I recently went through the same high school classes and SAT process my students are facing now. I graduated as salutatorian, earned a 1560 SAT with a perfect 800 Math score, and now study Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. I understand how high school students actually think through these problems and where explanations often stop making sense.
I have worked with students across many different age groups and backgrounds, including volunteer tutoring and one-on-one academic instruction. Most recently, I helped a high school senior improve from a 1300 SAT to a 1550 in about two months. My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students, especially those preparing for the SAT or looking for help in math.
