Hello and thank you for your interest! My name is Elisa and my master studies focused on "German as a second and foreign languag".
My first teaching experience was 12 years ago. After graduating from high school, I worked as an au pair in Italy and Spain for a year and taught German to children aged 2 to 10. Later, during my bachelor's degree (majoring in German as a second and foreign language), I did two internships in Augsburg at the adult education center and the Kolping Institute and also gained experience as a language mentor for underage refugees at the Diakonie charity. Even before I started my Master's degree, I taught both children and adults as part of my freelance work. However, I realized that I enjoy teaching adults more, which is why I have focused on this in recent years. Another important experience for me was running a women's course subsidized by the BAMF (in 2018). I taught women between the ages of 25 and 60. The language level varied greatly, as two participants were not yet literate and had hardly any oral language skills and others were already at a B1 level. Through these different experiences over the last 12 years, I have been able to improve my teaching methods and have learned to adapt to my students and their individual knowledge and not to forget to have fun while learning! In addition, I am not only a native speaker, but can also give my students many rules and tips thanks to my studies. And I have learned 5 languages more or less successfully myself and can therefore easily understand what works well/badly or what difficulties you may have. I wrote my Master's thesis in ‘German as a second and foreign language’ at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

I have been using the multilingual teaching platform DEUTSCHFUCHS.DE for several years, which offers my students many advantages. For example, they can practice grammar independently outside of our lessons or revise vocabulary in a personalized vocabulary trainer. The documents and exercises used offer translations into English and 25 other languages and facilitate understanding. I can also see your answers to each document in real time. This allows me to immediately point out spelling mistakes. My online lessons therefore combine the advantages of face-to-face lessons with the flexibility of online lessons, as you can learn from home. The app also allows you to repeat vocabulary or do short grammar exercises (e.g. der-die-das article trainer) at any time while you are on the move. I really enjoy helping adults learn German. It is important to me that the language is used actively and not just the grammar is learned. But of course we will combine both aspects. If you wish, I can also prepare you for a language test or support you with text production and correct emails etc. The first lesson is free of charge and serves to get to know each other. We can discuss what your goals or weaknesses are and which methods and task types you prefer or what else is important to you. I will also be happy to introduce you to the learning platform and the app so that you can decide whether this is of interest to you.

Elisa is a very warm and friendly teacher who meets you exactly where you are and supports you in whatever you need. She somehow manages to make even german lessons be fun and adapts to your personal learn type. Since her family has a migration history, she’s also fluent in spanish (latin america) and empathetic to how challenging it is to immigrate and learn a new language. Highly recommend her!
Elisa unterrichtet schon seit 10 Jahren Deutsch als Zweit- und Fremdsprache und man merkt, dass es ihr immer noch Spaß macht. Ich habe mehrere ihrer Schülerinnen kennengelernt und bisher nur gute Rückmeldungen bekommen. Ich denke, ihre eigenen Sprachkenntnisse sind für ihren Unterricht sehr hilfreich, denn sie spricht Italienisch, Englisch und Spanisch und hat außerdem ein bisschen Arabisch, Portugiesisch und Latein gelernt. Ich habe Elisa vor 10 Jahren bei unserem Studiengang für Deutsch als Zweit- und Fremdsprache kennengelernt und ihren Weg als Deutschlehrerin seitdem miterlebt. Sie hat bereits 3 Praktika im Bereich DaF/DaZ absolviert und gibt regelmäßig Deutschunterricht für Kinder und Erwachsene. Elisa ist eine sehr freundliche und empathische Lehrerin und ist durch ihren Masterstudiengang und ihre eigene Mehrsprachigkeit (Italienisch, Spanisch, Englisch) eine hochqualifizierte Lehrkraft.

Thanks to the practical app, you can practise German on the go at any time! You can also choose from 26 languages on Deutschfuchs and all documents are automatically translated into the selected languages. In addition to German, I also speak English, Italian and Spanish and can read Arabic and understand some Portuguese. But with Deutschfuchs' professional translations, you can always check the meanings of words if you have difficulties understanding them. Please contact me to find out if your desired language is included! I can also add vocabulary to your personal vocabulary trainer via Deutschfuchs.de.
