Viraj is a very good teacher, he takes time to understand students and teach them how the students would understand. He has a very good knowledge of tabla and music and is awesome at it! He has the talent to play and teach! He is the go to option for tabla teacher! Totally worth it!

I first started playing tabla when I was in class 6 as extra cirrucular activities that was newly introduced in our syllabus I played it for 4 years and after that I left it all over. From then only I had a love for tabla as a musical instrument.

After around 10-11 years I bought tabla and started playing watching YouTube videos and all but I was unable to play tabla at all and after alot of searches and asking I found Viraj through an online recommendation, and we started our classes through online medium as I live in Kathmandu, Nepal and he lives in Ahmedabad but I never felt I was taking classes online because the way he has taught me feels like I am sitting right beside him.

In the very first class he said that our relationship shall be of Guru and Sishya, well to be honest I was a little afraid of how this is going to be but it's about I guess an year of melodious journey with him and he has been a good friend and a true mentor to me.

The best part about Viraj is he is not at all rigid he is very flexible with timings, days, the way of teaching everything. He is among those teachers who are an artist to the art of teaching. I personally feel Viraj is very disciplined and focused person in his life and it reflects in his teachings, he patiently teaches me every bol and how to play with perfect sur and tal.

Many may think that online medium may have alot of problems like network issues and sound problems, well yes the problems are there but out of numerous class I have taken with Viraj I had problems only in less than 10. The way Viraj teaches me encourages me to play tabla more efficiently and effectively.

I highly recommend talking classes with Viraj if you have the love for tabla the same way I have and want to learn this lovely instrument with one of the young and energetic teacher you could have ever meet.
