About Jacquith
I am a professional African dance artist, choreographer, and cultural educator with over 20 years of experience teaching African and Afro-diasporic dance online and in-person. My mission is to bring authentic African dance classes to students worldwide, blending traditional rhythms, creative expression, and cultural empowerment. Throughout my career, I have performed and taught with renowned dance companies such as Fusha Dance Company, designed award-winning costumes for Carnival with Sesame Flyers, and led cultural dance workshops at the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI). As a teaching artist with the prestigious Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), I have guided countless students to build confidence and joy through African dance and movement. In every online class, I provide authentic African dance technique, powerful storytelling, and an inclusive environment welcoming all levels — from beginners to experienced dancers. My multidisciplinary expertise in choreography, singing, and costume design creates a rich, transformative dance experience no matter where you are in the world. Whether you’re new to African dance or looking to deepen your connection to Afro-diasporic movement traditions, I’m here to support your journey with patience, respect, and creative energy.
