About Roger
I am a young, relatable, and friendly university student with a keen interest in religion, philosophy, and ethics. I am currently studying BA (Hons) Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics at the University of Winchester. My current modules are Political Philosophy, Hinduism and Buddhism, Great Christian Thinkers, and God, Soul, and World in Early Modern Thought. I received a Grade 9 in Religious Studies GCSE in 2019 under the WJEC/Eduqas exam board (Route A), where I portrayed a high level of knowledge of different global belief systems and an ability to portray differing arguments on controversial issues. I also received a Grade 8 in English Language GCSE under the AQA exam board, where I demonstrated great essay writing skills and use of different language techniques. I have just achieved Distinction Star, Distinction Star, Distinction in my Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Esports. Alongside this, I am a former Professional Esports Coach, where I taught students around the world from a diverse set of age groups the skills and knowledge required to be a good player and teammate in their competitive video game of choice. My goal is to equip my students with everything they need so that they no longer require my services!

I will allow you to tell me which areas you would like to focus on the most. I can help you with retaining knowledge, improving your essay writing skills, and practising debates. Typical length of a session is 60 minutes. I have a Grade 9 GCSE in Religious Studies (WJEC/Eduqas Route A) My sessions are aimed towards Year 10s and Year 11s but are open to anyone studying a GCSE/Level 2 equivalent in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or Ethics. Topics I can cover Religions: Christianity (Catholic, Protestant, & Orthodox), Islam (Sunni & Shia), Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism. Themes: Family & Relationships, Life & Death, Good & Evil, Human Rights, Nature of God, Crime & Punishment, Peace & Conflict. Secular ideas: Nihilism, Existentialism, Hedonism, Humanism, Utilitarianism, Evolutionary biology.
