About Thea
Hey - I'm Thea! I'm an understanding and extroverted person. Although I write quite formally, I'm a very down to earth and relatable person. I graduated from Laine Theatre Arts in 2024 with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre. I also graduated from Peter Symonds College in 2021 with 3 A-Levels: Grade A in Mathematics, Grade B in Law and Grade B in German. This proves how academically capable I am, as (although Musical Theatre is an often disregarded subject) I had to complete an incredible amount of coursework during my time. My Diploma coursework totalled 37,000 words which took a lot of dedication and hard work. I am very passionate about the subjects that I studied, both at A-Level and for my degree. I would love nothing more than to inspire the next generation of Mathematicians.

I've been teaching, and assisting (although in different subjects) since I was 13 so I am very experienced with handling kids and their questions with patience. I also know how important it is to approach each child differently to ensure that their learning is tailored to them. I provide tutoring sessions for GCSE students, from years 7-11, for all exam boards. My standard lessons are 30 minutes, but I'm happy to provide longer sessions if you feel your child needs extra support. In my lessons, I will follow each child's questions and queries. I will listen to which areas they are struggling with, and help explain it to them in a way that they will understand. If this takes a few attempts, that's okay, but I will ensure that they understand it enough to answer questions without my assistance. However, everyone is human, and I can't possibly know everything. If they ask a question that I don't know the answer to, I will ensure that by our next session, I am fully informed to help them to the best of my abilities.
