About Muhammad
My name is Muhammad Ahmed Mansoor, and I am a dedicated Grade 12 student with a strong academic record and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. I finished Grade 9 and Grade 10 with averages of 95% or higher in math and science, and I bring over two years of tutoring experience through organizations including WoodGreen Community Services, the Toronto District School Board, and the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities, supporting students from Grade 1 through Grade 10 in math, physics, biology, and chemistry.
I understand that choosing a tutor means trusting someone with your child's academic progress and confidence, and I take that responsibility seriously. I am reliable, patient, and communicative, and my goal is to help students build the confidence and understanding they need to succeed well beyond our sessions together.

My name is Muhammad Ahmed Mansoor, and I have a genuine passion for teaching mathematics and science. As a Grade 12 student who finished Grade 9 and Grade 10 with averages of 95% or higher in math and science, and a recipient of the Grade 10 Mathematics Award, I am doing exceptionally well throughout high school and I use that experience to help my students reach the same level of confidence and achievement.
I believe the best learning happens when students understand the reasoning behind a concept, not just the steps to solve it. I start every session by checking what the student already knows and identifying any gaps in their understanding. From there, I break down complex topics into smaller, manageable pieces and use clear, relatable explanations tailored to how each student learns best. I ask guiding questions rather than simply giving answers, which helps students build the confidence to work through problems independently. I am patient and adaptable, and I adjust my pace and approach depending on whether a student needs extra repetition, a different explanation style, or a quicker pace to stay challenged.
I begin by reviewing previous material and addressing any lingering questions. Next, I introduce the new concept with a clear explanation and a worked example, walking through my thought process step by step. I then guide the student through a similar problem together before having them attempt one independently, so I can see exactly where they feel confident and where they need more support. I close each session with a short recap and practice problems to reinforce the material, and I often suggest additional exercises for extra reinforcement between sessions.
I have tutored students across a wide range of settings, including one-on-one virtual tutoring through WoodGreen Community Services, in-person peer tutoring through the Toronto District School Board, and group tutoring through the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities. This has given me experience adapting to different learning environments, personalities, and academic needs. I care deeply about seeing my students succeed, and I take real satisfaction in watching a concept finally click for someone who has been struggling with it.
I tutor students from Grade 1 through Grade 10 in Math, Trigonometry, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, and I am comfortable working with students at any level within that range, from those needing foundational support to those preparing for more advanced coursework.
If you are looking for a tutor who is patient, dedicated, and genuinely invested in your success, I would love to work with you. Whether you need help catching up, staying on track, or building a stronger foundation for the future, I am confident I can help you reach your goals. Book a lesson with me and let's get started on your path to academic success!
