Hi, I’m Jui, an architecture graduate and working professional, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned over the years through my journey with Warli art! My teaching style focuses on creating a relaxed, welcoming space where you can freely explore your creativity without any judgment. I’m eager to share the history and stories behind Warli art that inspired me, and to guide you on your own creative journey. Warli art is an ancient Indian tradition practiced by tribes in western India to depict their daily life and rituals in a simple yet meaningful way. You’ll be amazed at how, with just two colors and a canvas, we can create artwork that is both simple yet powerful. In this 90-minute lesson, students will learn about the history and significance of Warli art and will have the opportunity to create their own basic Warli painting using geometric shapes. Let’s relax in this casual, fun environment, taking your time and finishing your painting at your own pace. Come explore how ancient civilizations used art to express their lives! All ages are welcome.
