About Jacob
Jacob Lopez is a professional bassist and guitarist from Spain who graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2024. Coming from a rock and jazz background, he now specializes in many styles including funk, R&B, Latin styles, and fusion. Jacob has years of experience as a working musician, gigging and touring with various artists across the United States and appearing as a session bassist on a wide-ranging catalog of recorded music. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

My approach to teaching is based around building groove, feel, and finding enjoyment in musical progress and learning. I like to focus on learning songs you love which, along the way, will teach you techniques that make you an all-around stronger musician. I teach rock, pop, funk, RnB, Latin, and jazz styles, but I center my lessons around each student's individual goals and needs. Whether you have a specific goal you want to achieve or just want to improve your playing in general, I can help you!
