About Tom
I'm Tom, a private tutor based in North London. My degree is from Durham University where I studied archaeology, history, and history of art! I love providing friendly and engaging lessons for older pupils who are looking to elevate their work as they approach exams or apply to Russell Group universities. With a huge breadth of knowledge I always aim to share my love for studying the past with students, supporting and encouraging them through their studies.

I provide comprehensive lessons to prepare Year 12 and 13 students for A-Level History exams. Lesson Times: 35 minutes or 1 hour Primarily discussion based, my lessons incorporate visual aids, source-question practice, short writing assignments, and pop quizzes to ensure a good groundwork of knowledge. One of the joys of tutoring is being able to tailor lessons to the individual needs of a student, and I can adapt lessons to suit learning styles quickly and effectively. I also offer interview and Personal Statement preparation for Russell Group universities, specialising in History, History of Art, and Archaeology, with particular emphasis on students who haven't yet studied these at school but are keen to pursue them at undergraduate level.
