About Holly
I have been tutoring for seven years now, both privately and through companies. Across my work, I have supported students from many learning backgrounds, whether that be students already at the top of their class hoping to maintain this standard or students recently diagnosed with AuDHD looking for a bit of guidance understanding how this informs their learning. I have experience tutoring students with ASD, ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome and PTSD. In this time, I've created and collated a large bank of resources to draw upon depending on the needs of my students. I have tutored students from as young as five to students in their university years who are looking for advice heading into their theses. My qualifications that accompany my experience are two university degrees; a Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Class I Honours) and an MSc in English Literature (Distinction). Outside of all that professional stuff I play netball, enjoy doing puzzles and crafts and will never say no to a good game of pool.

Personalised Tutoring – Structured, Supportive, and Goal-Focused My tutoring approach is highly individualised, because I know that every student has unique learning needs. To understand what approach will be best, we begin with an initial session to discuss your goals, assess your current level, and set a clear pathway forward. Based on this, I create a personalised learning plan for the term (or longer if you're working towards specific exams or deadlines), which includes: - A breakdown of topics to be covered - Progress check-ins for both academic content and time management - Regular monitoring of mental health and overall wellbeing, if needed This plan is shared via Microsoft Teams, so both of us have easy access to track progress and stay on top of deadlines. Teaching Methodology & Techniques I focus on tailoring my teaching to each student’s learning style, age, and other commitments. Techniques include: - Clear explanations and guided practice - Focused exam and assessment preparation - Time-management strategies - Built-in breaks to enhance focus and retention Lesson Length Lessons are flexible based on your needs, ranging from shorter, focused sessions to longer, in-depth lessons. I’ll work with you to determine the best lesson length and frequency. Experience & Suitability I tutor students of all ages, from primary school through to undergraduate level, and have experience adapting lessons for various learning styles and needs. Online Sessions All lessons are conducted online for flexibility and convenience. Pricing I charge £45 per hour for one-on-one tutoring sessions.
