About Rachel
I am a classically trained lyric coloratura soprano. I specialize in early music of the Renaissance and Baroque and I love to sing in small chamber vocal ensembles. I also love to learn newly composed contemporary music as well as dabble in some opera and art song. I sing musical theater on the side. A vocal jazz group I love is Voctave. Definitely check them out! I have taught many students in the past. Mostly through vocal pedagogy courses at school. I am a fun and light-hearted gal. I can't wait to explore all the future musicians of the next generation!

I am very patient and love to teach others about music and how to sing to keep this art form alive and well. We will do a vocal range test and see where your voice feels most comfortable and work on musicianship. I will assign an art song to work on as well as give many helpful vocal warmups to help your beautiful voice develop. We will work on breathing and alignment as well in our lessons. For sight reading, we will read through scales and learn the music fundamentals like the circle of fifths and key signatures. I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I can help with any style of singing whether it be pop, jazz, musical theater or opera. I can't wait to work with you!
