About Christina
Hello! My name is Christina Goodin, and I am passionate about helping students succeed in Algebra and Precalculus. I have always been a year ahead in math throughout my education and have prior experience tutoring Algebra, which has given me a strong foundation in both the material and in teaching it effectively.
My teaching method focuses on building a deep understanding of concepts first, then applying that knowledge through clear, step-by-step problem-solving techniques. I tailor my approach to each student's learning style, whether they need extra practice, a new way of explaining a topic, or simply more confidence in their skills. I encourage questions and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing any previous material or homework questions. We then move on to introducing new concepts in a structured, easy-to-follow way, with guided examples and time for students to practice independently with my support. My goal is to build not only knowledge but also self-confidence in math.

As a tutor, I focus on making Algebra and Precalculus clear, approachable, and even enjoyable. My teaching method is centered around building a strong conceptual foundation first, and then applying that understanding to problem-solving techniques. I like to break down complex topics into simple, understandable steps and use real-world examples to make abstract ideas more relatable. I also believe in encouraging students to ask questions and think critically, not just memorize formulas.
