About Catherine
Hi! I’m Catherine, a recent Duke University graduate with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. I work as an engineer in the medical device industry, but I’ve always had a passion for teaching. I’ve tutored over 20 students in subjects ranging from pre-algebra to differential equations. My passion for teaching has given me the opportunity to join the teaching staff within Duke's Math department where I have built experience as a teacher and tutor. I focus on building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and helping students feel fully prepared for tests. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy running, cooking, and spending time at the beach.

With 2 years as a teaching assistant within the Duke University Department of Math, I bring extensive 1-on-1 and study group experience.
