About Emma
I have a dual Master's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Fordham University. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Fourth Grade, where I have created reading and writing lessons for the entire class, small groups, as well as one on one. I have also homeschooled a third grade student for several years in accordance with state standards. I believe that whatever you are hoping to accomplish can be done, as every child can succeed as a great reader and writer if provided with the appropriate tools and instruction!

My teaching strategy is to get to know each child's individual interests, skills, and needs to make learning fun for them. I use aspects from several reading curriculums in order to make sure all necessary components, from phonics to reading comprehension, are included. I have studied and used state standards from Pre-K to Grade 5, so I can create lesson plans that reach goals in a consecutive and progressive manner.
