About Rory
My number one goal is to help you get the most out of your musical journey. I am currently studying a master's at Napier University, doing my master's thesis on how tailor-made music lessons lead to the best results, and I wish to use this research to best help you. I achieved grade 8 in ABRSM classical guitar, grade 8 Rockschool electric guitar and grade 8 Rockschool bass guitar. I also specialised in blues rock performance in my undergrad at Kingston University. I have been a professional guitar and bass tutor for 6 years, helping many pupils achieve ABRSM, Trinity and Rockschool grades. I have been gigging professionally since 2019 and have played hundreds of original music concerts as well as weddings/other events around Scotland.

I am a passionate and friendly teacher looking for what is best for you. I am happy to teach any age and happy to make the lessons inclusive to whoever is interested. For most students, I find that 30 minutes is an ideal lesson time, but I am happy to teach for up to an hour. I am focused on tailoring lessons to your goals and want the best, whatever those goals may be! Doing grades such as Rockschool, Trinity or ABRSM, I am happy to help. If these aren't your thing, I am more than happy to help guide you on your musical journey!
