About Makaela
I am a recent graduate from Oberlin Conservatory with a degree in violin performance. I have participated in numerous music festivals including Aspen Music Festival and School, where I spent the last two summers. I am currently applying to graduate schools and am looking forward to continuing my education. I have 6+ years of teaching experience and have worked with students from age 6-40+. I am always learning and working to improve my teaching and my own playing as well :)

I have taught students of all ages and varying levels. I aim to create a positive environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to practice and learn. I believe that it is really important to approach music with joy and so cultivating that at whatever stage you’re in is a must! I’m all about good rhythm, good intimation, and having fun!
