About Anna
My name is Anna and I recently graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. At Seton Hall I double-majored in English Literature and Philosophy. I went to the US on a full-ride sports scholarship and was the goalkeeper on their Division 1 Women's Soccer Team. I have always had a passion for reading and writing, and I'd love to be able to share my passion while helping to build the confidence of my students. Because, much like with playing football, confidence is the key to success!

Lessons can range from 40 mins to an hour, depending on the content. I believe in providing students with the necessary skills to be able to confidently understand and write about any given topic on their own. My approach entails lots of dialogue and discussion, ensuring that students have a broad and well-rounded understanding of how to write effectively, and how to approach and think about concepts and texts. I want to tailor each lesson to the needs of the student, focusing in on exactly what it is that they struggle with so that we can work together to improve. For my senior year I worked as a tutor where I'd spend an hour 1 to 1 with university students, looking over their written work from a range of different classes. I'd provide feedback on how to improve writing style, how to form a coherent argument, and how to get their point across in a succinct manner. Their abilities and needs varied greatly, meaning I was exposed to lots of different methods of tutoring and saw the importance of having individualised lessons. I was the winner of the 2025 Senior Thesis Prize for Literature at my university and I was named the runner up in a university wide Philosophy essay-writing contest. I am more than happy to work with any and all ages and levels!
