About Julia
I am a graduate from UNC Charlotte, and jumped right into a fifth grade classroom in November. I had experience student teaching in second grade and then had the opportunity to work with upper grades. Growing up, I found traditional teaching did not work for me. I succeeded when it came to having fun with learning and doing project-based education as well as games. I believe that the more fun you can have with learning the better relationship you will have with education as a whole.

Making reading fun with different phonics games and comprehension games and passages! The best way to learn how to read is to have fun and gain confidence in reading, which will then allow for better reading fluency. Having strong fluency allows for better comprehension.
