About Eric
When I graduated from Whittier College many years ago, I served a family as a tutor and I found I had the ability to truly connect and explain concepts in ways students can understand. I can connect to them and explain things because my understanding is very good. Since then, I have pursued a career in IT. Right now, I am between jobs and looking to start a new venture. And I want to do tutoring on the side. There wasn't a category there, but I can also teach programming in many computer languages, with the ability to rapidly learn the language you want to learn and teach it to you, if I do not already know it.

Here is a math trick to easily in your head multiply any number with 9. If it is a single digit number subtract one from it. Take that number and subtract it from nine. Now you have two numbers: The first number goes in the tens position, the second in the ones position, and you have the product of 9 on a certain number.
Examples:
9 x 7 = [7-1=a][9-a] -> [6=a][9-a] -> [6][9-6] -> [6][3] = 63
9 x 7 = 63
9 x 5 = [5-1=a][9-a] -> [4=a][9-a] -> [4][9-4] -> [4][5] = 45
9 x 4 = [4-1=a][9-a] -> [3=a][9-a] -> [3][9-3] -> [3][6] = 36
9 x 2 = [2-1=a][9-a] -> [1=a][9-a] -> [1][9-1] -> [1][8] = 18
