About Carissa
Hello! I’m a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong background in Science and student learning. I have experience working as a Science Teacher, Master Teacher, Research Coordinator, and Laboratory Technician, and I hold a Master’s degree in education.
I believe that learning should be enjoyable, supportive, and tailored to each student. My teaching approach is patient and encouraging, and I make sure that difficult concepts are explained clearly using simple language, practical examples, and engaging activities. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
Whether you are struggling with a challenging Science topic, preparing for an examination, completing school requirements, or simply want to improve your understanding and confidence, I am here to help. My tutoring approach is student-centered, supportive, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, guided practice, questioning, and interactive activities to make lessons engaging and meaningful. I adapt my teaching strategies, pace, and materials according to each student’s learning needs and goals.
A typical lesson lasts 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level, and learning objectives. I begin by reviewing previous knowledge, introduce the new concept, provide guided practice, and finish with independent application and feedback.
I have experience in education as a Science teacher, Master Teacher, Research Coordinator, and Laboratory Technician. I hold a Master’s degree and have experience working with students in different learning environments. My background in Science and education allows me to explain complex concepts in a simple, practical, and easy-to-understand way.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary students, particularly those studying Science and related subjects. I can support students who need help understanding difficult concepts, preparing for assessments, improving their academic performance, or developing greater confidence in their studies. I also welcome students who learn at different paces and benefit from personalized, one-on-one instruction.
