About Jacob
I've been told I have a knack for making tough subjects more palatable. I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed in a course that just don't make sense. I worked throughout my undergraduate career leading study groups and helping students with courses that are considered more difficult. I am passionate about evolutionary biology, plants and teaching. Knowledge is one of the greatest resources we can acquire as humans and I love to mine as much as I can.

I'm most familiar with college level biology, particularly courses for biology majors but definitely willing to adjust for other proficiency levels. I have experience with courses like General Biology 1&2, Botany and Plant Taxonomy.
I use fun activities that allow students to engage with topics and lead themselves to the solutions with logical steps that help build cognitive application rather than repetitive exercises for rote memorization. I also assist with organising information in a way that allows for better flow according to the course structure.
