About Jacqueline
Greetings! I am Professor Pronto- your go-to for dissertation/thesis support on demand. I can help with research methodology, quantitative or qualitative, SPSS, N Vivo, even editing on short deadlines. I am a former graduate professor of research methods and statistics, an author of rigorous scholarly research published in peer reviewed academic journals, and finally, a public sector consultant for policy analysis and program evaluation. I love turning grad students into graduates and ABDs into doctors by supporting them through the most intimidating parts of their thesis and dissertation: methods, analysis, and reporting.
I have perfected a system where I walk you through the process that you complete independently, so that your work is 100% your own intellectual property and you are able to confidently defend your work. I help you overcome areas of uncertainty, correct errors, and remain on the right path. Furthermore, you don't have to waste time getting "stuck" - unable to proceed until you can get your question answered or risk working hours in the wrong direction. Deadlines are tight and late nights are common so sometimes you just can't wait until the next day to get the hell you need. This is why my students can text me anytime and aren't forced to wait for appointments when a simple chat or call will do. Any help I can offer with quick responses is included without my students having to pay for an actual coaching session. However if you need a session at the last minute or even the middle of the night to solve your problem, I'm happy to accommodate!

I walk students who are scared of stats through their entire research design methodology, sampling, data collection, coding, analysis and reporting. Furthermore, I advise on the write-up of your hypotheses discussion of the results as well as the implications of your research. I help students prepare for defense as well.
Let me know what it is you're needing by booking a free 30 minute consultation where I can learn about your project and determine if it is worthwhile to book a full 90-minute session with a thorough assessment and recommendations for how to proceed. This platform requires I list an hourly rate ($42), but truly my rate is per session ($64) since 90 minutes is typically the minimum amount of time needed to make progress.

Dr. Abernathy is more than a professor, she is a mentor. Her relatable, teaching style helped me not only navigate my Master of Public Administration coursework, but truly understand how to apply research with intention. She doesn't just teach, she invests in her students.
Dr. Jackie is great with statistics. She is helpful, approachable and knowledgeable in her field!
I highly recommend Dr. Abernathy as an exceptional professor and educator. She taught both my Statistics and Human Resources courses during my graduate program, and her impact on my academic and professional growth was significant.
Dr. Abernathy has a unique ability to make complex material both accessible and relevant. In particular, her approach to statistics stood out to me. Having struggled with the subject during my undergraduate studies, I was initially apprehensive. However, her practical, real-world teaching style quickly changed that. She consistently connected statistical concepts to everyday applications and professional scenarios, which not only improved my understanding but also helped me see the true value of data in our field.
Beyond her teaching style, Dr. Abernathy is incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely invested in her students’ success. She creates an environment where students feel supported and encouraged to ask questions, engage deeply with the material, and grow in confidence.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have learned from Dr. Abernathy and strongly recommend her to any student seeking a professor who is both knowledgeable and deeply committed to student development.I had the pleasure of taking several classes with Dr. Abernathy while enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program at Tarleton State University. Her courses were among the highlights of my graduate school experience. She is absolutely brilliant, and one of the best ways to describe her teaching style is disarming. Going into graduate school, I had a disproportionate fear of research methods and statistics. However, in her research methods course, she presented the material in a way that was not only easy to understand but also sparked my interest in applying research methods and principles to issues of social justice and public policy that mattered to me.
Dr. Abernathy’s impact was so profound that I changed my degree track during my second-to-last semester to pursue the thesis option. I went on to successfully defend and publish my thesis the following semester, titled Procedural Justice in the Department of Justice. She is an expert in her field who made learning about complex research methods and theories genuinely enjoyable. I could always rely on her for guidance and thoughtful feedback on my work.
The Superprof community is lucky to have her on the team!!I had the privilege of studying under Jacqueline during my academic career, and I can say with confidence that she is one of the most knowledgeable, engaging, and effective educators I’ve encountered. Her deep expertise in statistics is matched only by her ability to make complex concepts understandable and applicable.
She has a rare talent for connecting with students at all levels, fostering both confidence and curiosity. She creates a learning environment that is both rigorous and supportive—challenging students to grow while ensuring they feel encouraged every step of the way.
If you’re looking for someone who brings both academic excellence and a personal touch to her instruction, I wholeheartedly recommend Jacqueline for any academic endeavor, especially statistics. You won’t find a better guide for mastering the subject.View more recommendations

I actually do not charge hourly but by the session. Sessions are 90 minutes but typically go over when only slightly more time is needed and not another full session.
The initial phone call to determine if I can help you and schedule the first session is free, but the full consultation where I offer an assessment and recommendations for how I can assist further requires me reviewing your work and sitting down with you over webcam. The flat rate cost is $250 to start and $250 per 90-minute coaching session to follow, but the initial $250 is credited to your first session.
