About Jael Shiayet
Hello! My name is Jael, and I offer personalised Russian lessons for all levels from complete beginners. I am not a native speaker, but I studied and lived in Russia for six years, where I completed my medical degree. This immersive experience gave me a strong understanding of Russian culture, everyday language, and academic communication. As someone who learned Russian as a second language, I understand the challenges students face and I know how to guide you through them with patience and clarity. I’ve been helping learners improve their Russian for over 3 years, and I always tailor my lessons to suit your level, pace, and personal goals. My approach is student-centred and communicative. I use real-life dialogues, videos, audio clips, articles, and personalised exercises to make each lesson practical and engaging. I place a strong focus on speaking and listening, while also helping you build solid reading and writing skills. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, available online or in person, and scheduled flexibly to suit your needs. I work with adults, teenagers, and motivated children in a friendly, relaxed environment where you can learn at your own pace. In addition to teaching, I love to cook—especially international dishes—and I enjoy playing basketball to stay active. I bring the same energy and positivity into my lessons to make learning enjoyable and effective.
