About Kim
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from CSU Bakersfield and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree and teaching credential in Special Education at Point Loma Nazarene University. I have classroom experience working with elementary students at varying levels, including those with diverse learning needs. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in reading and writing, and I believe every child can grow with the right support, patience, and encouragement. I approach every student as an individual and adjust my teaching to fit their unique learning style.

I work with elementary students in reading and writing using individualized, research-based strategies tailored to each learner’s needs and pace. My background in special education gives me a unique understanding of how different students learn, including those who struggle with traditional instruction. Each session begins by identifying where the student is, then building from there using structured, engaging activities. Whether your child needs foundational phonics support, reading fluency practice, or help organizing their writing, I meet them where they are and help them grow with patience and encouragement.
