Over the past seven years, I have worked with students pursuing a wide range of academic goals and starting from very different skill levels. I have tutored students with ACT English and Reading scores ranging from 10 to 24, and every student I have worked with has improved by at least three points on the English and Reading section.
I pride myself on creating individualized learning plans that assess each student's strengths, areas for improvement, and target score. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor lessons to each student's needs, building new skills on previously mastered concepts and steadily working toward measurable goals.
Sessions are typically one hour and follow a curriculum planned approximately one month in advance. Each week, students complete short assessments designed to reinforce recently covered material and identify concepts that need additional review. This structured approach allows students to track their progress while ensuring that instruction remains targeted and efficient.
In addition to ACT/SAT English preparation, I provide essay coaching for middle school, high school, and college students. I guide students through brainstorming and idea development by asking targeted questions that help them clarify and strengthen their arguments. During the revision process, I provide proofreading and editing suggestions while encouraging students to make the revisions themselves, helping them develop stronger writing skills rather than simply correcting their work.
