About Victoria
I graduated in 2022 from University of Maryland College Park with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and currently work for an engineering firm. While at UMD I was a Guided Study Sessions tutor for Calculus and Differential Equations as well as a private tutor for Calculus for 3 years. I earned an A in Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. I struggled with Calculus in high school prior to succeeding in college and I am very compassionate about the difficulty that students have with math. I also have extensive experience in finding the best way to teach math to you, I will tailor the tutoring to your needs and strengths!

For high school or college math tutoring, the first session we will discuss your goals and areas you would like to improve. Then, we will discuss your preferred approach. The first approach I offer is tailored to your class curriculum. You can provide the syllabus for your class and I will construct a review lesson and create practice questions reviewing what you learned that week. The other approach is for you to let me know specific topics that you find particularly difficult and I will create a review of each aspect of the topic accompanied by practice questions. In both cases before a test or exam I will create practice tests and discuss a study schedule based off of your results. We will also review tests you have taken. I also offer SAT/ACT math tutoring. The first session you will complete a practice SAT/ACT test and we will go over areas of improvement. I will then provide both review of material and practice questions for each area of difficulty. My SAT/ACT tutoring will focus more on practice problems as timing is an important factor when taking the SAT/ACT.
