About Helen
Helen has extensive experience as a professional violinist, and has enjoyed a successful and varied career teaching and performing worldwide. Helen was educated in the world-renowned Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow in the 80’s, where she graduated with a master's in pedagogy (teaching), chamber music performance as well as orchestral solo performance. She went on to hold several teaching posts alongside her performance career, at conservatoires and music academies.

A passionate and dedicated teacher, with a patient and supportive attitude. I continue my lifelong passion to share the joy of the violin with others. I typically see students face to face or online once or twice a week, and develop a learning plan for each student individually, based on their experience and unique ambitions. I enjoy teaching children from the age of 6, through to adults and seniors. I pride myself on developing confidence in students, and always encourage fun and creativity through music. I also teach piano for beginner and intermediate level.

I studied with Violin with Helen and my daughter studied Piano. We both really enjoyed it. She has a very good knack for teaching and makes you fall in love with the instrument
Helen is as good a violin teacher as you will find in London. Hugely experienced but more importantly - she just knows how to transfer knowledge! Both my kids love her, I guess that says it all.
