About Ivan
As a concert pianist with experience performing in over 30 countries, I am passionate about sharing my love for music through teaching. My goal as a piano tutor is to inspire students of all levels to discover the joy of playing the piano. Whether you’re a beginner taking your first steps or an advanced player refining your skills, I offer personalised lessons that focus on building technique, musical expression, and confidence. I believe that learning the piano should be both rewarding and enjoyable, tailored to each student’s pace and goals. Alongside my performing career, I have a deep commitment to music education. I’ve given masterclasses at institutions such as the Birmingham Conservatoire and served as a juror at international piano competitions. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, encouragement, and helping each student unlock their unique musical voice. With experience working with both children and adults, I create a supportive environment where students can grow and express themselves through music. Having studied in New York and Italy, and worked with top orchestras and musicians, I bring a wide range of experience to my lessons. Whether preparing for exams, competitions, or playing for personal enjoyment, I help students develop both technical skills and a deeper understanding of music. My aim is to help every student discover their full potential while finding joy and fulfilment in music.

Depending on the level of each pupil, I offer specially designed curricula, that include teaching Piano, explaining styles, technical approach, understanding and appreciating Music. My lessons are offered in the form of open discussion, where pupils are encouraged to comment and ask more deep and pragmatic questions about Piano and Music in general.
