About Rumit
Hey! My name is Rumit and I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham doing chemical engineering and computer science.
Teaching is always been a passion of mine as I wouldn’t be where I am today had I not had great tutors and teachers to guide me throughout my journey. This is why I try to give back to current students as well as those that are in a less fortunate position.
I have taught in schools across Africa and Asia to that end and I can honestly say that Teaching is such a rewarding experience.
I totally understand that exams aren’t easy and it can be quite stressful, but I hope to help you in that journey and make it that much easier!

My approach to effective teaching has three main steps:
1. First I will spend the first session getting to know you; your strengths and weaknesses and what you want from these sessions.
2. Afterwards, we will create a lesson plan which will cover all the main topics that are required for you to pass your exams with an emphasis on the areas that you identified as a weakness.
3. From my experience, especially when it comes to maths and science exams the best way to learn is to learn via creating flashcards And getting experience via past papers. This will be the way I will structure my lessons.
The last thing to know is that the lesson plan created is not set in stone - it is flexible and will change according to your exam schedule as well as how you progress with the lessons. The aim will always be to focus our attention on your weaknesses whilst occasionally brushing up what you’re already strong at.
