About Hemant Raj
I am a dedicated and reliable tutor with a strong academic background in Mathematics and Physics, currently studying Computer Science at Monash University. I take pride in maintaining a professional, structured, and student-focused approach in every lesson.
I understand that each student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching methods to suit their individual needs and pace. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and develop a clear understanding of core concepts.
I am committed to being punctual, well-prepared, and consistent. I ensure that each session is organized and productive, and I regularly communicate progress with students and parents where appropriate.
Having recently completed my own studies in these subjects, I am familiar with common difficulties students face and can explain concepts in a simple and relatable way.
I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to improve.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building strong conceptual understanding while also improving exam performance. I believe students perform best when they truly understand the “why” behind concepts rather than just memorizing methods.
In my lessons, I usually start with a quick review of previous topics to reinforce learning, followed by a clear explanation of the current concept using simple, step-by-step methods. I then guide students through practice questions, gradually increasing difficulty, and finally include exam-style problems to build confidence and accuracy under test conditions.
I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s needs, whether they require more visual explanations, repetition, or problem-solving practice. I also focus on creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, which I find ideal for maintaining focus while covering sufficient material. Longer sessions can be arranged if needed.
I am currently a Computer Science student at Monash University with a strong background in Mathematics and Physics. Having recently studied these subjects myself, I understand common student challenges and how to overcome them effectively.
My lessons are primarily for students from Year 7 to Year 10, particularly those looking to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their grades, or gain confidence in Math (and Physics if applicable).
