About Noelle
I have a B.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Christopher Newport University, and I was the Lead Peer Tutor of the Mathematics Cohort in the Center for Student Success. I dedicated lots of my time to ensure that I took all the necessary precautions to becoming a tutor, such as becoming CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certified (over 25 hours of training/tutoring), as well as rising in the ranks to become the Lead. I love teaching students math and it is my favorite subject, so it warms my heart to be able to help others who struggle with the material. I understand the frustration that surrounds the subject, so if there is any way I can help make it even just a little bit more bearable, then that is what I want to do.

I use lots of examples in my sessions and I always take them step by step, making sure the student understands each part before moving on to the next. I have lots of mnemonic devices and "cheat sheets" that will help the student work through problems and hopefully retain the information better. I am kind and have a high level of patience for my students because I know how frustrating it is to not understand a subject, especially math. I hope to help my students learn to enjoy the process and feel proud of themselves when they start to understand the material, and I will give them all the tools necessary for this to happen :)
