About Sergio
I got my diplomas in Cello and Choir Conducting from the “Manuel Castillo” Conservatory in Seville. Both degrees obtained with the highest final grades.
Also graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Bachelor of Historical Cello.
Master in Conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and in Historical Cello at the RC of Brussels.
Extensive demonstrable experience both as a teacher (Spain and Portugal), as well as an performer. I stand out my experience as a member of the three main Andalusian institutions (among others):
- Young Andalusian Choir (currently).
- Youth Orchestra of Andalusia.
- Young Baroque Orchestra of Andalusia.
I consider myself a versatile musician, who not only applies his scholastic or classical training, but also drinks from the musical freshness of other styles such as flamenco. As a flamenco cellist, I have nurtured myself by collaborating with several well-known artists of the genre.

My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student, for music theory, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.
I always apply the Belgian teaching model. It was in Belgium, where I got my Master degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main point is a living and practical view in learning, by understanding and not only learning by heart as the principal engine.
My lessons are also available in Spanish.
