About Finlay
[Recently seen in OKLAHOMA! in London's West End] At age 16 I quit academy level football to give acting a go...a couple of years later I was training at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and have since gained lots of experience as a professional actor - from performing on the West End to recording radio drama (with lots of bits and bobs along the way) I would love to pass on some of what I've learnt so far to help you on your journey. I aim to create an informal environment and a safe space to work and grow. The best work is done when we feel relaxed and free from judgement! A typical lesson will start with a warm-up to get rid of any tensions from the day before delving into what YOU would like to focus on! That might include: - working on a monologue for your drama school auditions - learning to breathe and use your voice properly with the help of technical exercises - getting into the nitty-gritty parts of text in order to deliver an authentic performance - harnessing your imagination so you can fully explore and access what a scene requires Most importantly - let’s have some FUN!
