About Lila
My love for guitar began early with a fascination for melody, rhythm, and musical storytelling. I pursued a B.Mus in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music, gaining both performance experience and pedagogical knowledge. Over 11 years, I have taught learners of all levels, helping them develop technical skills, expressive interpretation, and musical confidence.
I teach with patience, encouragement, and attention to individual goals. My methodology combines structured exercises, repertoire study, and creative improvisation to ensure students develop both competence and artistry. I focus on fostering self-expression, musical independence, and performance confidence alongside technical mastery.
Outside teaching, I actively perform, compose, and explore new musical styles. Teaching guitar is deeply rewarding because I witness students transform their abilities, gain confidence, and develop a personal connection to music. Seeing learners discover their unique musical voice is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

Guitar lessons are most effective when students experience both technical skill development and expressive exploration. My approach emphasizes fingerstyle and pick technique, chord progressions, scale mastery, improvisation, and musical phrasing. Lessons integrate exercises with songs, improvisation sessions, and creative challenges to help learners develop both accuracy and artistic expression. I foster a supportive environment that encourages students to experiment with sound, explore musical ideas, and build confidence while maintaining strong technical fundamentals.
Lesson content is customized to each student’s level and musical goals. Beginners focus on basic chords, strumming patterns, finger independence, and simple melodies. Intermediate learners expand to barre chords, scale exercises, soloing techniques, improvisation, and stylistic versatility. Advanced learners work on complex repertoire, advanced improvisation, arranging, and performance preparation. Each session combines guided practice, reflection, and feedback to ensure steady progress and skill consolidation.
Guitar lessons also cultivate creativity, patience, and self-expression. Students often gain confidence performing individually or collaboratively, and they develop a personal musical voice. My goal is to provide an engaging, structured, and inspiring environment where learners master guitar technique, explore musical creativity, and develop lasting performance skills.
