About Vida
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance and a Master of Music in Contemporary Guitar Studies, with 9 years of experience teaching students of diverse skill levels. My teaching philosophy combines technical rigor with expressive freedom, ensuring students build a strong foundation while developing their musical voice. I integrate technique exercises, repertoire development, improvisation, sight reading, and performance coaching to cultivate well-rounded musicianship.
I emphasize personalized instruction, patience, and encouragement, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals, interests, and skill level. Beginners receive structured guidance, intermediate students gain challenges to refine skill, and advanced learners are supported in achieving mastery and performance readiness. I aim to create an engaging, supportive environment where learners feel confident to experiment, make mistakes, and grow.
Outside teaching, I continue to explore guitar performance, composition, and collaborative music projects. Staying actively involved in music allows me to bring current techniques and real-world insights into lessons. Watching students gain technical skill, musicality, and confidence remains the most rewarding aspect of my work. I strive to guide each learner to become a creative, expressive, and confident guitarist.

Beginners focus on posture, hand positioning, simple chords, basic strumming patterns, scales, and beginner-friendly songs to build familiarity and confidence. Intermediate students refine barre chords, lead techniques, improvisation over chord changes, dynamic expression, and solo phrasing. Advanced learners work on stylistic interpretation, advanced improvisation, tone shaping, technical mastery, and performance strategies. Lessons incorporate feedback, hands-on practice, and creative exercises tailored to each learner's goals, ensuring steady and engaging progress.
Guitar study not only develops technique but also nurtures musical independence, creativity, and stage confidence. Students gradually gain fluency in expressing musical ideas, understanding song structures, and performing with clarity.
