About Elle
I have 9 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a B.Mus in Guitar Performance and an M.Mus in Contemporary Music Studies. I have guided learners of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced performers preparing for recitals or composition projects. My teaching combines technical instruction, musical interpretation, improvisation, and performance coaching to create well-rounded guitarists.
I emphasize a personalized approach tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and musical preferences. Lessons integrate exercises, repertoire work, creative exploration, and constructive feedback to ensure steady improvement while keeping learning enjoyable and motivating. I encourage students to express themselves musically, develop their own style, and build confidence in their performance.
Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and study diverse musical genres to bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Witnessing students develop technical skill, artistic expression, and self-assurance is immensely rewarding. My goal is to nurture guitarists who are versatile, confident, and inspired to explore music deeply, creatively, and joyfully.

Guitar lessons are most engaging when learners develop both technical skill and expressive musicality. My approach emphasizes fingerstyle, chord progressions, scales, improvisation, soloing, tone shaping, dynamics, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation. Lessons combine hands-on exercises, repertoire practice, guided improvisation, and performance preparation to ensure students progress steadily while enjoying the creative process.
Beginners begin with posture, finger placement, basic chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs to build foundational technique. Intermediate learners refine finger dexterity, complex chords, scale runs, melodic phrasing, improvisation, and song arrangement. Advanced students focus on stylistic nuance, performance interpretation, advanced techniques such as tapping or sweep picking, and live performance preparation. Every lesson is tailored to match the student’s goals, abilities, and musical taste, fostering confidence, creativity, and technical growth.
Guitar instruction also nurtures musical creativity, expressive freedom, and stage presence. Students learn to interpret music thoughtfully, develop their own sound, and connect emotionally with their audience. My goal is to help learners grow into technically skilled, expressive, and confident guitarists who can explore a wide range of musical styles and perform with both skill and artistry.
