About Lana
I discovered my love for guitar early, which led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Music Performance with a focus on guitar. Over 7 years of teaching, I have guided students of all ages in developing technical skill, musical expression, and performance confidence. My teaching philosophy combines structured technique, creative exercises, and encouraging feedback to foster both skill and joy.
I focus on individual growth, tailoring lessons to match each learner’s level, interests, and goals. I emphasize consistent practice, exploration, and performance readiness, while fostering a supportive environment where mistakes are embraced as learning opportunities. My goal is to build both proficiency and confidence in every student.
Outside teaching, I perform regularly and explore diverse musical genres, which enriches my lessons with real-world insight. Witnessing students progress from tentative practice to confident playing is deeply rewarding. I aim to help students develop not only technical mastery but also their personal musical voice, allowing them to enjoy guitar fully and creatively.

Guitar lessons become exciting when students connect technique with musical storytelling. I focus on finger positioning, chord transitions, strumming patterns, solo phrasing, improvisation, and expressive tone development. Each session blends technical exercises with creative playing, enabling students to develop both skill and musicality in a balanced way. I emphasize exploration, encouraging learners to discover their own sound while building structured practice habits.
Lessons are adapted to individual levels. Beginners work on fundamental chords, finger exercises, and simple songs to establish a solid foundation. Intermediate learners develop scales, lead techniques, fingerstyle patterns, and improvisation skills. Advanced students focus on advanced techniques, musical interpretation, stage presence, and performance preparation. Every class integrates guided practice, feedback, and musical challenges to ensure steady growth and confidence.
Beyond technique, my lessons aim to inspire creativity and self-expression. Students learn to interpret music emotionally, experiment with style, and perform with confidence. Lessons cultivate patience, curiosity, and resilience. Over time, learners develop both technical mastery and expressive musicality, allowing them to enjoy guitar as a lifelong pursuit. My goal is to make learning guitar both rewarding and joyful while supporting each student’s unique musical journey.
