About Laura
I'm a certified ensemble director and am currently studying music in Kassel in a combined teaching and performing program, my main instrument is the guitar. I can also help you learn music theory, music history, conducting, ear training, playing figured bass, and piano.

I adapt my lessons to the individual interests and needs of the students. When I teach beginners, I use a textbook but I don't follow it too strictly. I put an emphasis on teaching the basics of ensemble playing and song accompaniment, as these are important for developing the ear and musical comprehension; in addition to teaching technique, we play music together and sing in the class.
When I tutor students I ask them what the they need help with, then I work on those topics with them and offer exercises for practicing what they've learned.
