About Carlos
I have been playing guitar for about 18 years and teaching for around 15. Academically, I hold a degree in classical guitar from the University of Aveiro. Since then, I have studied and continued to explore and perform in various styles and genres, including blues/rock/fingerstyle/traditional/old century music - many of them also provided from learning to teach my students.
As an educator, I have worked at several academies and official music schools (both on the Portuguese mainland and islands) and have also taught private lessons in Amsterdam. Currently, I teach online and in private schools with a significantly reduced schedule, as most of my time is dedicated to performing as a musician and entertainer.
You’ll find me to be extremely patient and focused on specialised learning, always applying logical thinking and thoughtful solutions as the foundation of your learning process. You will learn to play whatever you want, starting from unlocking your skills and being able to actually learn in every minute you play. At the same time we will never lose sight of the real purpose of learning and playing music – to express ourselves and be able to freely let our creativity run wild!

My lessons are primarily focused on optimising the learning process of the instrument, which naturally leads to the development of new musical sensibilities and skills. They are 100% tailored to the specific needs of the student and the path they wish to follow, whether they are seeking a fresh approach to improve their study methods (in the case of more advanced students) or aiming to start learning the instrument and achieve great results in the shortest possible time.
My method is not based on the traditional "repetition", demystifying all the process and tools you need to know to achieve what's traditionally called "talent".
